As with all of these types of actions, the presumably tens of thousands of dollars spent by the District and it’s insurers and attorneys could have been avoided if Mr. Metzler and his merry band of obfuscationistas would simply make public info public. There is absolutely no reason why the vast majority of the info can not simply be posted on a website without the necessity of RTK requests, and excessive hoop jumping.
Minutes of meetings, correspondence, contracts, revenues and expenditures, checks written, salaries, staffing, enrollment, CIP plan, ALL of this should be posted on a website as a matter of course.
